Cherokee also offers our select and character grade flooring in an engineered product. You can expect the same great look, widths and long lengths in this outstanding product. Our engineered flooring combines a 3/16" thick solid hardwood "wear layer" with a 12 mm birch plywood substrate in a package that provides an alternative to solid flooring. Unlike 3/4 solid flooring, engineered flooring can be glued directly to a concrete slab as well as being used in "below grade" applications like basements. It also works well in kitchens and baths where water may be present. As with solid floors this material can be hand scraped and purchased with a micro bevel. In many ways engineered products are the future of hardwood flooring and we have it at Cherokee Wood Products.
