How to Calculate Board Feet

width in inches x length in feet x thickness in inches

4/4 = 1″ & thinner multiple by 1

5/4 = 1.25″ multiple by 1.25

6/4 = 1.5″ multiple by 1.5

8/4 = 2″ multiple by 2

10/4 = 2.5″ multiple by 2.5

12/4 = 3″ multiple by 3
